"Fantasma de Buenos Aires"
Tango-lover phantom in the 21st century
Director Guillermo Grillo's first 94-minute feature film, "Fantasma de Buenos Aires" (Buenos Aires' phantom), is a fantastic story mixed with comedy about the relationship between a young boy with a tango-lover phantom who was killed in 1920.
The phantom (played by Iván Espeche), meets the boy (Estanislao Silveyra), in special circumstances and asks to borrow his body for 24 hours, to get a chance to see Buenos Aires in the 21 century.
Grillo already directed short films like "Bar de Mala Muerte" and edited many feature films such as: "Potestad" (2002), by Cesar D'Angiolillo, and "Rancho Aparte" (2007) directed by Edi Flehner.
Juan West, Paula Brasca, Román Tanoni, Francisco Suárez, Lisandro Rodríguez, Felipe Colombo and Ana Celentano are also part of the cast of the "Fantasma de Buenos Aires."
The film, produced by the Film University — which gives the students the chance to be part of feature films made in Argentina — is out this thursday in the Buenos Aires theatres.
