Attack on Rossi blasted
Several opposition leaders condemned rural producers attack against Agustín Rossi, head of the Peronist's Victory Front lawmakers, who was insulted when he was leaving a meeting in Reconquista in Santa Fe province, where he is running for deputy.
Civic and Social Accord nacional lawmaker candidate, Gil Lavedra, said "violence is not the right method" to express displeasure towards the government.
Ricardo Alfonsin, Radical party lawmaker candidate also expressed his sympathy for Rossi and said it was a "pitiful" episode. "That's not the way of solving the problems we have, we shouldn't create an intolerance atmosphere between us," he continued.
Meanwhile, Buenos Aires City Governor, Mauricio Macri, expressed his disagreement by saying that ""anger does not justify rural people's" aggression.
Carlos Heller, Buenos Aires City Victory's Popular Encounter lawmaker candidate, referred to Rossi's episode as a "non democratic society action. Violence and intolerance doesn't lead to democracy."
