Antonini Wilson case: Opposition considers Aníbal Fernández should be questioned

The Civic Coalition and other opposition blocs will ask on Monday to question Cabinet Chief Aníbal Fernández at the Lower House of Congress for Antonini Wilson case.

"Aníbal Fernández will have to explain to us how Antonini Wilson entered the Government House after the briefcase scandal and why the Government repeatedly denied it," said Adrián Pérez from the Civic Coalition.

Pérez added that Antonini Wilson had said that he had been at the Government House and that the money that he carried in the briefcase from Venezuela was destined to Cristina Fernández de Kirchner's presidential campaign.

Pérez also considers that Fernández must be questioned for this case after Commercial Court Judge Daniel Petrone reported he had a video that shows Venezuelan-American businessman Alejandro Antonini Wilson in August 2007 in Government House during an official ceremony presided over by the presidents of Argentina and Venezuela, Néstor Kirchner and Hugo Chávez, two days after Antonini was caught trying to enter the country with a briefcase stuffed with 790,550 dollars.
