Metallica to play in BA on Jan. 21
Legendary heavy metal band Metallica will play at the River Plate stadium on January 21, as part of the group's Death Magnetic tour, businessmen in Argentina reported.
The band is currently formed by singer James Hetfield, its historical leader Lars Ulrich, guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo, former bassist of Ozzy Osbourne who replaced Jason Newsted in 2001.
The 2010 tour of the band will start in Peru, on Jan. 19, and continue with gigs in Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Guatemala.
"Death Magnetic" is the ninth album of Metallica after heavy metal classics, such as Master of Puppets, Metallica (known as the Black Album) and Load. The band has sold more than 100 million copies since it was formed in 1981.
