Hours after arriving from Spain, Buenos Aires City Mayor Mauricio Macri addressed the press to give out his point of views on the so called "spy-gate" that has tainted his administration as well the creation of the Met Police enforcement for the past weeks.

Macri emphasized that his main objective is to lower crime rates, and that the centr-right PRO party "has come to politics with the only intention of staying for the long run. We want to bring new projects for the citizenry, and one of them is the creation of the Metropolitan Police even though we knew very well that it wouldn't be easy at all due to all the interests that hide behind the insecurity since for some it represents a great business."

Regarding the attacks of the some of the opposition lawmakers against the city's Security Minister Guillermo Montenegro and the voices claiming for his resignation, Macri said "I have specially asked Montenegro to go today to the City's Hall to answer what ever questions the lawmaker might have", and added, "We all want to know what's the real deal is with Ciro James and this whole 'spy-gate' but not to turn it into a media show."

The Mayor showed himself concerned over the role of the media in the espionage case, "Media has to exam its role and do not rush into conclusions in the case". A separate chapter was dedicated to the Federal Judge in charge of the case -Néstor Oyarbide- who according to Macri "Mounts a show for the media on daily basis and makes statements and conclusions that then have to be taken back."

Macri also took his time to attack the Kirchner couple and urged them to "stop governing the country in a selfdestructive way", and added, "All they have said during the past weeks is that there is a plot to destabilize their administration but at the same time they keep attacking the City's governement."

To conclude. Macri warned both the Kirchner couple and the Cabinet Chief Aníbal Fernández, who blamed today Macri for the whole espionage case and remarked that "for much less than this US president Richard Nixon had to quit", and said: "In spite of their attitude, they will not stop us. They cannnot buy us out. They' ve gone after the press, now they bought Corrientes Governor, and their last move seems to be taking control over the City, but they won't."
