After meeting at the Labour Ministry
Kraft worker says the company 'violates the agreement'
Labour Ministry Carlos Tomada met with Kraft workers' internal committee who claim that 53 fired workers should be reinstated, before the encounter left-wing social organizations and a group of workers of the ex-Terrabusi blocked the main avenue of Buenos Aires City.
During the meeting, the members of the workers union denounced the company of violating the agreement and that they did not rehire workers, but fired eight more of them.
A group of Kraft workers and members of left-wing social organizations blocked three lanes of the 9 de Julio Avenue in order to show their support to their representatives, and marched to the Labour Ministry.
During the blocking of this avenue, the Infantry showed up and was able to make two lanes available.
Kraft workers committee was headed by Javier Hermosilla, who reported that "many comrades had been told that they were not going to return to the company ever" and added that "they invented penal cases and false accusations in order to fire us."
Oscar Coria, member of the committee, assured that "the company does not want to carry out with their promise and the Labour Ministry should oblige them to do it because the company is violating an agreement."
Coria added that at the meeting with the Labour Minister and the firm "they analyze if the company will rehire the fired workers and review the situation of the rest."
Coria said that they still do not know how they will "go on with this issue, it will depend on the result of the meetings."
