Macri's brother-in-law discharged
Leonardo denies attack was politically motivated
Mauricio Macri's brother-in-law, Néstor Leonardo, dismissed that an attack against him could be linked to reports of espionage from the Macri administration as he was discharged from hospital.
Leonardo was shot twice by two alleged robbers at the entrance of his home in Ituzaingó on Wednesday, the same day he had testified before a federal court investigating into alleged espionage by officials of the City administration.
"I cant' say it was an attack to generate fear, but they didn't take any money," said Leonard as he was leaving a hospital in the Greater Buenos Aires district of Ramos Mejía. Leonardo said his relation with the mayor is "good" and said Macri had telephoned him as he was at the hospital.
Leonardo last week said the government was spying on him because of Macri's disapproval to his marriage to Macri's sister, Sandra Macri.
