Members of the Independent Retirees and Unemployed Movement (MIJD), headed by Raúl Castells, demonstrated in front of the Provincial Bank (Banco Provincia), protesting against delays in money transfers for social plans in the Buenos Aires province.

Castells has recently declared to media that they have finally come to an agreement with the government that just infomed him that the debt would be paid for tomorrow.

The MIJD head also called for anticipated elections, saying that "while the Kirchners will be ruling the country, the chaos will never stop." "We can't go on like that until December 2011," he said, calling for the Argentine people to request "anticipated elections."

MIJD demonstrators were hitting with wooden sticks the barriers that police installed in front of the Provincial Bank main offices in the neighbourhood of Constitución in the city of Buenos Aires.

"The provincial government owes money to the children organizations, such as Caritas. We spoke with the head of the bank who said he'd give us an answer today," Castells told reporters earlier in a radio interview.

Earlier, the MIJD members tried to block the Pueyrredón Bridge but were very quickly disposed by the Federal Police infantry.
