Taiana prepares for CFK, Lula Da Silva meeting
Foreign Minister Jorge Taiana will meet in Río de Janeiro with his Brazilian counterpart, Celso Amorim, in order to define the bilateral agenda for Presidents Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva for their November 18 meeting.
Taiana has already arrived in Brazil from Jamaica, where he represented Argentina in the Grupo Río and Grupo CALC (Latin America and the Caribbean) meetings.
He said that "Argentina gained the support of the regional forums, who approved the Argentine claims over the Malvinas Islands sovereignty," according to a Foreign Ministry press release.
In addirion, Argentina once again reiterated its will to sustain the international claim, and Taiana demanded "the immediate reinstatement of constitutional President Manuel Zelaya, because it indispensable for the next Honduran elections to be legitimate."
