Boudou, Martínez discuss 'bilateral relations'
Economy Minister Amado Boudou met with United States Ambassador Vilma Socorro Martínez, to whom he expressed the need to increase commercial exchanges and investments.
The Economy Ministry sent a press release about the meeting, which took place during the diplomatic process to strengthen bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the importance of investments in the current economy was discussed as well as increasing the bilateral commercial relations between the two nations.
Boudou said that it is very important for Argentina to "increase the promotion of products of Argentine origin within North American markets."
Socorro Martínez said that her government was satisfied with the initiative to return to international capital markets.
With regards to the International Monetary Fund, Boudou said that he would "follow President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner's steps to increase growth in 2010, the bicentennial year, promoting social inclusion, which also has a lot to do with capital markets."
Finally, during the meeting, Boudou and Socorro Martínez discussed working together with North American scientists from Pasadena, California and the National Atomic Energy Committee on satellite development.
"This work being done by scientists from both countries contributes to strengthening bilateral relations," assured Boudou.
