Conflict due to overtime payment
The security issue in Buenos Aires City is 'worsening,' Ibarra
Lawmaker Aníbal Ibarra spoke about the removal of members of the Federal Police force from different areas of Buenos Aires City due to the failure to pay them for overtime.
"The goal of Mauricio Macri is to gain private security" in place of federal agents, "leaving behind the people of Buenos Aires," he said.
"While Macri stopped paying those police officers overtime, the Federal Police force still counts on large funds from different companies," said Ibarra during a press release.
Finally, Ibarra said that the situation is a result of agreements with security agencies, adding that "the only thing that Macri cares about is maintaining private negotiations with public funds, while security in Buenos Aires City is worsening" day by day.
