Buonanotte downplays rumors of moving to Juventus
River Plate's striker Diego Buonanotte has dismissed speculation linking him with a move away to Italian Calcio Serie A in January, revealing his intention to achieve qualification for next year's Copa Libertadores with his current club.
Buonanotte was heavily involved in last weekend's 'Superclasico' with Boca Juniors, which ended in a 1-1 draw, as he won a penalty that was subsequently missed by Ariel Ortega.
"Now we have to think of getting the points to gain qualification for the Libertadores," Buonanotte told reporters.
"The next game will be against Argentinos Juniors, which will not be easy, but the hope is to climb up the table as quickly as possible."
When he was questioned about a transfer to another club, the 21-year-old insisted his only intention was with his current side.
"As for me, my objective is to give my contribution to the team."
The youngster has previously been linked with Juventus and Fiorentina, while Napoli have also reportedly been tracking his services.
