A private report says the Argentine industrial output plunged 8.2 percent in September year-on-year, but increased 3.2 percent from the previous month.

The index was 0.1 percent above the level of August in seasonally adjusted terms, the report of private consultancy FIEL said.

Between January and September of 2009, industrial activity fell 8.9 percent compared with the same period of the previous year, as the national economy has been hit by the global economic crisis.
