The government has earmarked six million dollars to the organization of the Dakar rally 2010 following publication in the Official Gazette, highlighting the “success and global impact” of the rally in 2009 and its importance to foster tourism in the country.

The transfer of funds was agreed in a Technical-Financial Agreement signed by the Tourism Secretary and the institutions that organize the rally, Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) and Organizacion Dakar (ODASA).

The 2010 edition of the traditional rally will take place in January, in different parts of Argentina and Chile.
