Ghana already classified for World Cup 2010
Argentina beats Ghana 2-0
The Argentine soccer team won 2-0 in a friendly game against Ghana yesterday evening in the city of Córdoba. Two goals by Martín Palermo were enough to defeat a relatively weak opponent.
Less than 5000 tickets had been sold before the game but, despite that fact, the Argentine squad played with all its heart against the African team. However, before Palermo's goals, it seemed like players felt under pressure as they were missing some easy opportunities (Pozzo).
Used to the pressure with his club, Boca Juniors' Martín Palermo seems to have win his place in the team that will face Perú in the next World Cup qualifier game.
To secure the fifth place (play-off) or the fourth (direct qualification) in its World Cup 2010 qualifier group, Argentina will have to win its two last games, against Perú and in Uruguay.
