Private sector average net remuneration rises 21%

The average net remuneration of the private sector reached 2,957 pesos in the second trimester of the year and registered a 21.5 percent increase regarding the same period of the previous year, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the average remuneration of the public sector reached 3,736 monthly pesos and increased 19.9 percent regarding the second trimester of the previous year, informed the Indec statistics bureau.

The organism made known the evolution of the Functional Distribution of Income, in which the highest average net remunerations registered in the private sector are paid in Santa Cruz province, with 5,705 pesos, and the lowest in Tucumán province, with 1,945 pesos, according to data corresponding to the second trimester of the year.

In the public sector, the highest average net salaries are paid in national banks, where they reach 8,495 pesos, and the lowest in the municipalities, where they reach 2,633 monthly pesos.

After Santa Cruz province, the highest average remunerations are paid in Chubut province, with 4,783 pesos, followed by Neuquén, with 4,585; Tierra del Fuego, with 4,564; and Buenos Aires City, with 3,557 pesos, according to the official report.

Below these, according to the level of remuneration in the private sector, are found Buenos Aires province, with 2,867 pesos; Río Negro, with 2,709; San Luis, with 2,668; Santa Fe, with 2,642; Córdoba, with 2,505; La Pampa, with 2,383; Mendoza, with 2,368; Jujuy, with 2,341; Catarmarca, with 2,336; Entre Ríos, with 2,215; Salta, with 2,274; San Juan, with 2,292; Corrientes, with 2,142; and La Rioja, with 2,123.

The lowest average net remuneration levels are paid in Misiones province, with 2,051 pesos; Chaco, with 2,013; Formosa, with 2,106; and Santiago del Estero, with 1,947 pesos. In the public sector, the highest net monthly salaries are paid in the media, with an average of 7,980 pesos; in decentralized organisms, with 7,233 pesos, and public businesses, with 6,905; in national universities with 3,250 pesos, and provincial administrations, with 2,916.

The highest average salaries in the private sector are paid in the oil, gas, and carbon industry, with average net remunerations of 12,765 pesos, and the lowest in farms with 1,243 pesos.
