As of today, porteños will lose their cars if radars catch them exceeding the City's maximum speed limits for road, avenues, and highways by more than 40 kilometres. The first police control post was set at Santa Fe avenue intersection Carranza having speed controls started at 7.30am.

Drivers who incur in a speed limit felony will be written up with a fine, discount with 10 points out of the scoring system and vehicles will be dragged to a police facility.

The maximum speed for roads has been established at 40km/h, while 60km/h is the max allowed on avenues. For City's highways the max was set at 100km/h as well for Lugones, and Cantilo Avenues.

Fine tickets go from $100 to $1000 pesos, while the range goes up from $300 to $5000 in the case of buses, taxis, heavy trucks, and scholar vehicles -mini-vans and buses-.
