Las viudas de los jueves: Marcelo Piñeyro’s latest cinematic foray — an adaptation of Claudia Piñeiro’s Clarín award-winning novel Las viudas de los jueves — bears a striking similarity with Billy Wilder’s 1950 masterpiece Sunset Boulevard.

Tierra sublevada: oro impuro. As in his previous films, deputy elect Pino Solanas uses documentaries as a weapon to raise awareness on social issues. This time, he takes on open-air mining by national and foreign corporations, and the harm it brings on the environment, health and economy of its sites. Here, with the case of a mysterious stone that can change the lives of people by granting their wishes. Tulpan: A young man returns to the arid steppes of Kazakhstan to become a shepherd and marry, but there are not many women there - and the one he is interested in is planning to move to the city.
