Ex-governors meet in BA
Solá, Busti agree to create 'non-K' caucus
Felipe Solá and Jorge Busti, former governors of the provinces of Buenos Aires and Entre Ríos, have agreed to work toward the "unification of the non-Kirchnerite Peronism" and to form a wide anti-K peronist caucus in the Lower House of Congress.
"We want to create a movement to free the Peronist party from the inaction to which ex-president Néstor Kirchner has led it," said Solá,a deputy-elect for Buenos Aires, after a meeting with Busti at an office in the city of Buenos Aires.
Solá, and Deputy Francisco de Narváez formed a wide peronist alliance representing dissident Peronists close to ex-president Eduardo Duhalde and the non-peronist centre-right PRO in the city of Buenos Aires.
"We must conduct joint legislative work. Thus, we will work toward the creation of a non-Kirchnerite Peronist caucus representing lawmakers of Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos, Santa Fé, Misiones, Córdoba, La Pampa, Mendoza, Río Negro, Salta and other provinces that might later join our efforts after December," Solá added.
"Kirchner is trying to immobilize the party, with a leader that doesn't represent us (the Kirchnerite governor of Buenos Aires province Daniel Scioli) and we have to work to get the party out of this situation and turning it into a real alternative to rule the country in 2011."
Solá regretted that the government has failed to introduce the changes that voters demanded in the June 28 mid-term elections, and accused Kirchner of "behaving like he had won in the ballots."
Solá, who already announced plans to run for the presidency in 2011, said his faction of the party would seek to improve dialogue.
