Upon his arrival in Argentina, ahead of the crucial World Cup qualifier against Brazil on next Saturady, Lionel Messi gave his impressions about the importance of the game.

Argentina could be in danger of missing out on qualification for South Africa 2010 if they lose, but would be close to securing a spot with a victory.

Speaking to reporters at the airport, Messi said, "The key will be to keep possession and try to win from the first minute."

"I have won very important titles with Barcelona, and to beat Brazil and qualify for the World Cup would be the best achievement. Winning this match, and the one against Paraguay, would be a great step.

"I am immensely happy that the game is being played in Rosario."

The match was originally scheduled to be played in Buenos Aires, but Diego Maradona requested that it be moved to Rosario [Messi's home town], because the stadium provides a more intimidating atmosphere.
